About The Event
Walking, storytelling and building are some of the most primal acts of being human. Humans travel, write diaries and tell stories. We build homes and communities and the way we do it is naturally embedded in our being.
Join us for an experimental workshop, where we will walk in the woods, pick up natural materials, share stories and build something beautiful.
12pm: Meet at Assembly House in Armley.
12pm - 2pm: Walk in the woods, share our (travel) stories in an expanded sense, pick up organic matter to build a sculpture.
2pm - 3pm: Lunch Break
3pm - 5pm: Build a sculpture at Assembly House
This workshop is free to all. If you would like to attend, please email majanovart@gmail.com with your name and any questions you may have, before Wednesday 6th September at 5pm.
Please bring a packed lunch, though there are also local shops in Armley available. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for walking in the woods, and we kindly ask you to take personal responsibility in looking after yourself while outside and about the area. We will walk in a group, around Armley park and the woodland area next to it.
This is a full day workshop, however, if for any reason you wish to join at certain parts only, you are welcome to - if you could just let the artist know in the email so we know when and where to expect you, that would be wonderful.
